about mArio

I’m trying to figure out how everything’s connected. For a long time now, I've been 'living in my head' as my good friend mitch always says, looking inward, sometimes obsessively I admit. I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing, but I also think it's important and healthy to be more conscious of the world, the consequences of the things I do, and the choices I make. Have no idea what I’ll find, but I’m open to the possibilities and will definitely let you know (hint, READ MY BLOG!) Other things: blood is thicker than water, my job is not who I am (although it’s a part), Cali sun makes me happy, so does diversity (in all senses of the word), I want to see more of the world, and share my time with good peoples.

Jim Webb, the state of the union, and macacas
I really like that Jim Webb guy... at least what I've seen of him so far. I mean, in truth, I cannot place a holistic value on the man, especially since he is a relative political newbie (although he has...
The Good Samaritan (December 2006)
2006 was a tough year for the country. With the war on Iraq, debates over tough issues like immigration, surveillance, and civil liberties, and a political battle to determine the base of power in Washington,...
Greenfest 06, social investing, and a glass of merlot please
This past Friday, I took the opportunity to head up to San Francisco for Greenfest 2006 . Now, let me go on the record by saying that there are far better people to ask about green issues than I. In fact,...
