groooted.org was founded by a pair of grassroots advocates who wanted to empower the people on the ground by giving them a speakerbox to voice their opinions on how the world could be changed.
one founder spent the majority of his career working with local communities in New York City to increase their political voice, and the other founder worked with migrant laborer communities in Asia to advocate for human rights and economic opportunities.
both observed the challenges of affecting change in a world where top-down policies and entrenched institutions dictate the dialogue and process of change. for this reason, they founded grooted.org to empower individuals and communities to assert their voice and right in deciding how positive and sustainable change should occur. we call this groundUP social change.
so why get grooted? because both individuals and fragmented groups can affect change by sharing, uniting, and collaborating with other like-minded people. the ability to find a collective vision despite individual differences is the way to maximize the potential of diversity. for more info on getting grooted, click here
