hate crime series

initiated by APA for Progress (www.APAforProgress.org), a coalition of organizations and individuals will launch a series of in-depth, inter-community discussions via live panels (hosted by MOCA) and online forums (hosted by grooted.org) to focus on the roots of hate crime and offer policy and programmatic solutions.

(1) publish any thoughts, news, or ideas about hate crimes,

(2) bring discussions and topics to the race and society forum for more active debates about hate crimes, or

(3) post pictures to the hate crime series that you can share or insert into your blog posts.

contribute to the discussions today!

Currently a NYC public servant, I focus on citywide transportation issues and economic development. A proponent of effective and equitable solutions, I'm constantly working towards streamlined & sustainable models in the public sector. Politically, I volunteer with various democratic organizations and in 2006, I ran for the Democratic District Leader position in Queens, New York. A graduate of Hamilton College (Clinton, NY), I majored in Political Science and wrote my senior thesis on international democratization and political theory. At Hamilton, I played on the varsity football team and was a member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity International. I also hold a Master in Public Administration from Baruch College (New York) and was a 2005 National Urban Fellow (www.nuf.org).
